Catherine Russell - (Margaret Thorne Brent)


... originated the role of Margaret Brent and has played every performance but four since the play opened in April of 1987. She debuted Off-Broadway in 1980 as Nicola Davies in Stephen Poliakoff’s City Sugar and has also appeared Off-Broadway in Miss Schumann’s Quartet, A Resounding Tinkle, The Award And Other Plays and Creeps. She has also appeared in New York as Masha in Three Sisters, Rose in Incommunicado, Edie in The Lunch Girls, Missy in Home On The Range, and Cathy Cake in Inserts. While performing in Perfect Crime, she has also managed to appear onstage (after 10:30pm or on her nights off) in The Queen of the Parting Shot, Pas de Deux, Stages, I’ll See You In Hell, Guardian Star and, most recently, Some Enchanted Evening as well as several films, including most recently, Soundman, Remedy and Full Time Woman. She teaches undergraduate acting at New York University and is also a principal in MGR Consulting, a new theatre general management and consulting firm that helps producers, playwrights and actors create and manage long-running shows. She dedicates her performance to the memory of her beloved dog, Clementine, who, like her "mother" almost never missed a performance of   Perfect Crime.

   

Robert Emmet Lunney - (W. Harrison Brent)

As an actor, Robert has appeared on Broadway in Mauritius, Deuce, The Graduate, A Doll’s House, Dancing at Lughnasa, The Devil’s Disciple, and The Night of the Iguana; Off-Broadway in Safe Home, Grace, The Breadwinner, The Dying Gaul, Two Small Bodies, Chopin in Space; and in Regional theatre (Long Wharf, McCarter, Seattle Rep). Recent film work includes Nora Ephron’s Julie & Julia (2009), Flying Scissors (2008), and Imaginary Heroes. Robert has had major roles on  Law & Order  and was a regular on the short-lived CBS series  Feds.  He is co-founder of  The Barker Project, a loose affiliation of theatre artists inspired by the early works of British playwright Howard Barker, and founded on the principle that argument and entertainment need not be mutually exclusive. His play For Nina, was a semi-finalist for the 2007 O’Neill Playwrights Conference. Another play, An Occurrence at Yankee Stadium was recorded as part of Coyote Rep’s Sound-Play series. His screenplay, When You Wake is a touching father/son story of love and loss, easily confused for a demonic thriller.

Richard Shoberg

Richard Shoberg - (Inspector Ascher )

Richard Shoberg began as a student apprentice at the Actors Studio in New York City.   He went on to create the role of Tom Cudahy on ABC's All My Children and played that part for several years where he was nominated for an Emmy Award for best actor in 1978. During that same period, Richard was performing in original productions in the New York theatre: Love and The Winner at the Actors Playhouse; and Linebacker at the Actors Studio.   He is very pleased to be returning to the stage as Ascher in Perfect Crime.   His most recent stage appearance was as Juror #12   in 12 Angry Men at the Studio Arena Theatre in Buffalo, New York. Prior to  All My Children, Richard created the roles of Mitch Farmer on NBC's Somerset as well as Kevin Jamison on the The Edge of Night ( Live From New York ) on CBS.   In 2003 he appeared as Dunne on Law and Order Criminal Intent  in "CON-TEXT"; 2004 Michael Hanover Sr. on C.S.I. MIAMI in "MIA/NYC NONSTOP" CBS ; Drew on Law & Order   S.V.U in "SHAKEN" NBC.

Patrick Robustelli - (David Breuer)


...appears on video tape in Perfect Crime, but he has been working on Broadway since he was fifteen years old. selling orange juice and lemonade at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. He then moved next door to the Edison Hotel where he performed behind the desk for 24 years. Last season he appeared as Tom’s voice in the Off-Broadway play Guardian Star and is looking forward to actually appearing onstage in person in his next show He is dedicating his performance to the memory of his mother Helen, who worked on Broadway for fifty years as head usherette at the Royale Theatre.
