Richard Shoberg began as a student apprentice at the Actors Studio in New York City. He went on to create the role of Tom Cudahy on ABC's All My Children and played that part for several years where he was nominated for an Emmy Award for best actor in 1978. During that same period, Richard was performing in original productions in the New York theatre: Love and The Winner at the Actor's Playhouse; and Linebacker at the Actors Studio.

He is very pleased to be returning to the stage as Ascher in Perfect Crime. His most recent stage appearance was as Juror #12 in 12 Angry Men at the Studio Arena Theatre in Buffalo, New York. Prior to All My Children, Richard created the roles of Mitch Farmer on NBC's Somerset as well as Kevin Jamison on The Edge of Night (Live From New York) on CBS. In 2003 he appeared as Dunne on Law & Order: Criminal Intent in "CON-TEXT"; 2004 Michael Hanover Sr. On C.S.I. MIAMI in "MIA/NYC NONSTOP" CBS; Drew on Law & Order S.V.U. in "SHAKEN" NBC.
