Michael Halling as Inspector Ascher

Michael is delighted to be joining this distinguished cast. Most recently he appeared as Henry Higgins in over 40 performances of My Fair Lady at Lincoln Center, directed by Bartlett Sher. Other Broadway: The Boy From Oz (Hugh Jackman standby), The Pajama Game (Harry Connick Jr. standby) , A Tale of Two Cities, In My Life, and The Scarlet Pimpernel.  Off-Broadway: El Gallo in The Fantasticks; Giant at The Public (co-pro with Dallas Theater Center), directed by Michael Greif; The Unsinkable Molly Brown (Transport Group), directed by Kathleen Marshall, and The Streets of New York and Donnybrook!, both at The Irish Rep. National tours: Les Miserables, The Full Monty, Chess;  Select Regional credits include: The Bridges of Madison County (Robert Kincaid), Arkansas Rep; Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Ed Boone), Arts Center of Coastal Carolina; Timberlake Wertenbaker’s world premiere play Jefferson’s Garden, Ford’s Theater; The Secret Garden (Neville Craven), Denver Center; Pride and Prejudice (Mr. Darcy), Bristol Riverside; Lee Blessing’s adaptation of Heaven’s My Destination (George Marvin Brush), The Cleveland Playhouse, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood (John Jasper), The Repertory Theater of St. Louis. TV credits include HBO’s “The Gilded Age” and “Succession” and FX’s “The Americans”, and NBC’s “Believe”.  He can be heard on several cast albums including the recently released The Unsinkable Molly Brown recording, starring Beth Malone. Special thanks to his team at The Collective, and abundant love to his partner, actress Joan Hess.
